On their free day on Sunday, the students organized a trip to Arniston, a seaside town on the Indian Ocean, with a vast cave that can only be visited at low tide. They did a lot of rock climbing, and when the tide began to come in, they were happy to discover that the Indian Ocean is warmer than the Atlantic! They also stopped at Cape Agulhas, which is the true southernmost point in Africa. The final stop was Hermanus for whale-watching (where they saw a seal and lots of friendly rock dassies).
